400 Conejos Mezcal
Mexico's #1 Mezcal!
Crafted in Tlacolula, in Mexico's renowned state of Oaxaca, Espadin agaves are harvested and cooked in traditional cone-shaped wood ovens. The wood is lit and volcanic rocks are placed on top of it in a pyramid shape.
The oven is covered with cloth and earth and pinas are cooked for 3-5 days. Once cooked, the pinas are milled using a stone pulled by a horse. The fermentation process then takes place in a wooden tub.
400 Conejos Reposado mezcal is double-distilled in copper pot stills, and rested in American oak barrels for 3 months, then bottled.
It's soft with hints of fresh wood that are subtly combined with sweet notes of cooked agave! A pleasant and smoky finish!
